What is a Scientific Calculator?
Unlike a standard calculator that only handles basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), a scientific calculator is designed to solve complex problems in science, engineering, and high-level mathematics. Understanding Advanced Functions
Trigonometry & Inverse (INV)
These functions relate angles of a triangle to its sides. Use sin, cos, tan for standard geometry. Click the INV button to access arc-functions (sin⁻¹, cos⁻¹, tan⁻¹). Always ensure you are in the correct angle mode (DEG vs RAD)!
Scientific Notation (EXP)
Used to handle extremely large or small numbers. Pressing EXP adds an "E" to your calculation, which stands for "times 10 to the power of". For example, typing 5E3 equals 5,000.
Memory Keys (M+, M-, MR, MC)
Use M+ to add the current screen value to memory, and M- to subtract it. MR (Recall) brings the saved number back to the screen, and MC (Clear) wipes the memory clean. The "M" indicator on screen shows when memory is active.
Basic vs Scientific Toggle
Need to do quick arithmetic without the clutter? Use the toggle at the top of the calculator to switch to Basic Mode for a clean, simple layout. Switch back to Scientific when you need advanced math powers.

Does this calculator follow PEMDAS?
Yes, our online scientific calculator strictly adheres to the standard Order of Operations (PEMDAS/BODMAS). It will compute Parentheses first, followed by Exponents/Roots, then Multiplication and Division, and finally Addition and Subtraction.
How does the Interactive History feature work?
Every time you press equals (=), your full equation and result are saved to the History panel. You can click on any previous calculation in that list to instantly paste the equation back into the display. You can also download your entire history using the download button.
What is Haptic Audio & Visual Feedback?
